Downloading Music Illegally: Playing the Privacy Game
Music. Each and every person
within society is affected by it, we've all heard at least one piece of music, we've all got some form of opinion on music including, genres, artists,
different songs and different time periods where certain music was more popular
than what it is now.
One of the most important
things about music is how we obtain it. Music has and forever will be immortalized
in CDs, sold by a massive amount of stores both online and offline. But as
technology advances the way we obtain it also moves forward. A huge amount of
people in modern areas own some form of iPod and a computer with iTunes to
match, a program that allows the easy transference of music in order to keep playing
music on the go. iTunes is respectively its own music store, offering its own
prices while paying a certain amount to the producers.
But not everyone prefers to
pay for CDs or the digital downloads of iTunes.
And is it better to avoid digital downloads? Or accept them as a form of advancing audiences.

Personally, I think that illegal music downloads are wrong due to the effects it can have on the artist, losing out on potential profits seems small compared to the larger amount of money they make from honest audiences, but an album with considerably low profit will not have a successor and could even lead to a loss of a deal.

But certain artists have often encouraged their fans to download their music illegally or even uploaded their music available for free download from websites such as MediaFire or Bandcamp.
Although artists who use these sites are not often well known, certain famous artists have been seen posting Tweets or Facebook statuses encouraging their fans to download it illegally if they can't afford their asking price. "As long as you listen and enjoy it, it's fine to the me."
